It is “Your Present: A Half-Hour of Peace: A Guided Imagery Meditation for Physical & Spiritual Wellness” narrated by Susie Mantell.
Wow do I feel great! In fact I could actually feel myself becoming happier and more contented as I listened to Ms. Mantell.
Noticeable changes started happening within me very quickly, I’m sure in part because I was so receptive to the messages in the audio.
In case you forgot, I have cultivated unhappy, low energy, anxious thoughts and patterns for well over 20 years despite having a nice life. Such has been the life of this recovering anxious person anyways. So this is all new and very exciting to me. 🙂
When I began listening to the audio, I was laying on the couch, very lethargic, and not feeling particularly great or productive. As the audio continued, I felt energized and was able to move my muscles and get off that couch. It turned out to be a very productive day. But the best is what happened next…
When my husband rushed in the door from work last night, I greeted him as usual, but with this new sense of inner peace. That instantly set the mood for a pleasant evening. I felt and believed that we are a happy family and we are blessed to be married and in each others’ life. (This is also known as “acting as if”.)
I cultivated a sense of gratitude, which melted away all frets, worries and fears. The issue (which is not any big deal in the grand scheme of things) is that we have to purchase a new car soon. Big purchases are very scary to me, and always get me feeling tense and wanting to run into the avoidance mode. I get testy and irritable. I don’t like it, but that’s what I always do, nonetheless.
So, by making this little shift in focus in my head from gloom to gratitude, from worry to love, we had a peaceful evening and the car issue did not even come up. A miracle! (We had at least 3-4 heated discussions over the phone during the day about it too!)
This carried over into a very restful night’s sleep. This morning, I was working on the computer and I didn’t mentally ignore my husband as he was running out the door to catch his train–grumpy, hurried, late, pressured (the usual).
I was able to smile and send him loving thoughts. I was even able to chuckle to myself, he runs out the door every day like this (I call it doing a Dagwood).
I know that my peaceful and loving thoughts will positively benefit me and him as well! So cool! 🙂
When I see the results of my positive thinking and affirmation autosuggestion practice manifest so quickly, I am startled, almost giddy! It feels magical, and I wanted to share this experience with you.
You can purchase the book on Amazon. I highly recommend you get your hands on this great relaxation audio!
I wish you peace,
