Panic Away Review Update

B 300x250 GraphicsI wrote my Panic Away review over 2 years ago and it’s been a very popular review. It describes the program in full detail and my hopes for it. It gives you my personal experience with the program to help see if it’s right for you.

The Panic Away program has been updated since I first purchased it, therefore I am updating my review of the program for those who want to learn more about it to see if it is right for them…

The goal of Panic Away has not changed- it was and still is to stop panic attacks and end general anxiety fast.

Panic Away has helped me and it’s helped tons of people too- more than 100,000 all around the world to date. What is nice is the the author of the program, Barry McDonagh, now includes a lot more helpful information to help alleviate general anxiety on a day to day basis, as well as a very interactive community with professional support, to keep you on the right track. (More on this below.)

Here is a short video that demonstrates the quality of the program (the videos you get are very good!)

The basics of Panic Away have not changed.
the author still teaches you his counter-intuitive method to stop panic attacks on the spot. It used to be called the One Move technique. This has been expanded and is now called the 21-7 Technique.

The 21-7 name comes from a 21 second countdown which is followed by a specific 7 minute breathing relaxation technique. Using the 21-7 technique, you begin to control the panic attack within 21 seconds and get it under control within 7 minutes. Since a panic attack peaks and reaches its maximum effect within 10 minutes, this technique helps you to stop it before it gets to that level.

This technique focuses on observing and embracing feelings of anxiety and panic, rather than fighting, or trying to suppress these feelings.

By using the 7 minute breathing relaxation exercise, you become calmer and more relaxed. It helps you resolve all the lingering feelings of fear and anxiety and resume your normal life.

Panic awayThe program helps show you how not to fear the panic attack – and this is crucial- for once you lose your fear of panic attacks, you will no longer have them.

The final element of the program is called C.A.L.M. Recovery. This helps you to remove obstacles that keep you from getting better, and help you achieve a more natural flow in your life.

The 4 stages of C.A.L.M. recovery are:

C- Community Support-
you get complete access to the Panic Away online community for life. This forum is moderated by trained clinicians ad you have 24/7 access to them.

A- Acceptance- This is one of the most important factors in learning how to finally stop panic attacks. You accept and allow the fear, and stop fighting it.

L- Lifestyle Changes- how to make small but important changes in your diet and exercise in order to see long lasting results.

M- Meaning -
You can rise above the feelings of anxiety when you change your focus and try to find some meaning in the recovery process.

Does Panic Away really work? In a word, yes. It is simple to use and can be applied to just about every panic attack situation. It really can help eliminate panic attacks and lessen the feelings of general anxiety.

Are there any negatives?

Yes. It is not a magic bullet. If that is what you are looking for, you won’t find it here. This is a real program that works, but you have to be willing to do the work consistently in order to see lasting results.

For me, I cannot use the 21-7 technique in every situation. If I have a panic experience in a social setting where I am talking, it is just not possible for me to do it. I can implement this technique very well in more passive situations, like sitting in a theater, church, classroom, and even when driving. When actively talking to someone or in other social situations, however, it is too hard for me to implement.

That said, it is very helpful for a wide variety of panic attack inducing situations. I like that the program now focuses a lot on lifestyle changes- because things like diet, exercise, and mindset are really important components in healthy and calm lifestyle.

This is not hype or some internet gimmick. Panic Away is a wonderful program that works. It’s been helping people for over 10 years now. I was happy and relieved when I first tried it over 2 years ago and I can still use it today.

There is also a 100% money back guarantee if you do not see results in a few days. Try getting a guarantee like that from a therapist.

    Hi Jill

I am having a hard time with a new councellor infact she is useless

This post has reminded me I don’t really need a councellor because your site has everything anyone needs to know and is written with empathy as you know what it’s all about warts and all

I am eternally grateful I found this site and I hope those who suffer this monster find this site and it helps them as much as it helps the lucky ones who know about it

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the effort you spend making this site the very best one for help and support I have ever read (and I’ve read a few I can tell you). This is my must go to site infact it the only one I use because it’s all here. I am progressing because of you lady

    Thank you Maz

Aw, thank you Maz, that is so sweet. Well therapists can be good to bounce things off of when you need one. But sometimes they are not a good fit. If that’s the case, move on. You are doing this yourself my dear. I’m glad to be able to help but it is all you. :)
