Sleep Anxiety – A Surprisingly Simple Tip

Looking for something all natural to help with sleep anxiety?

I was reading about sleep anxiety yesterday and came across a helpful article that was very comforting to me and that I couldn’t wait to share with you.

There are tremendous health benefits just from sleeping in the same bed as your husband or partner. Sharing your zzz’s is so good for you!

The article from NewsCore said one hypothesis about this is that feelings of safety and sleeping couplesecurity by sleeping with your loved one can help lower levels of cortisol, a stress hormone.

It can also help reduce inflammation in the body and increase levels of the feel good hormone oxytocin.

The best news? Sharing your bed helps ease anxiety!

In my own experience, I definitely sleep better when my husband is next to me. If he falls asleep on the couch, I don’t feel the same sense of comfort as I do when he is with me.

The icing on the cake: some researchers believe that sleeping with a partner may be a major reason why people with close relationships tend to be in better health and live longer.

After 18 years of marriage with some tough years  and anger management issues thrown in the mix, my husband and I are not the cuddlers that we used to be. That is a work in progress. However, we are not sleeping in separate rooms like we did at one point and I am very thankful to have him safe in the bed at night.

And that’s the point: just being together and sleeping in the same bed is the key.

So get your partner off the couch and into your bed folks. It’s good for you, can help you live longer, and can decrease anxiety too!

I wish you peace,

Jill G.

The article said even if they are wiggle worms it’s still beneficial to be in the same bed. Just reporting the facts, ma’am. 🙂
