Jumpstart Your Self Esteem Today

I downloaded a free ebook this morning that I want to share with you. It is 10 Great Ways to Self Esteem. It took me less than 10 minutes to skim through and it is very good stuff! Perfect for me right as I’m headed out the door to work :)

Living with anxiety can take a huge toll on self esteem, so it’s real important to nourish yours every chance you get. Take a few minutes and read this book. I guarantee you will get some fresh new ideas about what you can do to help improve your self esteem. I also guarantee that you will feel better after reading it!

I especially like Tips on using the subconscious mind. right in chapter one it shows you how to easily turn the negative thougths you feed your mind when you are anxious into positive, healthy ones using simple visualizations .Basically you visualize yourself in a beautiful, relaxing place and repeat positive affirmations to yourself. The book gives you 2 suggested affirmations, or you can create your own. My own personal mantra is:

I am a powerful competent woman. Every day in every way I am getting better and better.

Tip 5 goes deeper into using visualizations to increase self esteem- specifically by picturing yourself going over your day before it happens. See yourself calm, happy, light-hearted, and at peace.

Other Tips talk about using laughter (even forced laughter- feels weird but it really works!) and gratitude- 2 of my favorite ways to make me feel good about myself.

Tip 8 is, in my opinion, the icing on the cake- it teaches how to fully live in the present and enjoy each moment to the fullest. Too much time is lost when an anxious mind worries incessantly about the future or goes over and over things that happened in the past Learning to stay in the day takes practice, but it is well worth the effort.

    Thankyou for sharing! I enjoyed reading this very much :)
    I love the simplicity of the excercises and tips that the author has offered. It truly is the little things we do that end up making a big difference in our lives. I’m going to start this week by focusing on a couple of excercises, and try not to overhelm myself by doing them all at once. I will be more successful that way!
